The problem

Most importers pay more than they need to. Nobody checks.

Declarations are filed fast and rarely reviewed. The mistakes cost you money, and if HMRC finds them first, they cost you more.

01

Your broker files. You're liable.

Your customs broker submits declarations in your name, but the liability for every code, value and origin claim stays with you. HMRC can check back four years.

02

Reliefs go unclaimed.

Trade-deal preferences, quotas and reliefs can cut duty to zero, but only if someone spots them and collects the evidence from your suppliers. Usually no one does.

03

Records are everywhere.

Declarations, C79s, PVA statements, invoices and broker reports sit in different places, so nobody sees the full picture of what you paid or could get back.

What we do

Three things we do for every importer.

We get back what you've overpaid, cut the duty and tax you pay from now on, and keep your import data structured and HMRC audit-ready.

£
01 / RECOVER

Get back what you overpaid

We find overpaid duty and import VAT from the last three years and handle the claim with HMRC.

  • Missed trade-deal preferences
  • Wrong commodity codes or customs values
  • Unclaimed or wrongly evidenced import VAT
  • Duplicate payments
  • Rejected or faulty goods
  • Forgotten deposits and securities
↓
02 / REDUCE

Pay less duty from now on

We make sure every future shipment gets every relief it qualifies for, with the evidence to back it up.

  • Preferential origin and trade deals
  • Tariff quotas and suspensions
  • Correct classification
  • Correct customs valuation
  • Special procedures and reliefs
  • Anti-dumping checks

03 / STAY AUDIT-READY

Keep your data HMRC audit-ready

Import Hub, our technology platform, keeps your import data structured and every proof in one place, so you're ready whenever HMRC asks. Until it launches, our team does this for you.

  • Declarations, C79s and PVA statements in one place
  • Supplier origin evidence chased and filed
  • Errors flagged before HMRC finds them
  • Records kept as long as HMRC can ask
  • Your data stays yours: download it any time
Included as standard

More time to pay HMRC

As part of our normal service, we set up the cash-flow tools HMRC already offers, so you get more time to pay import VAT and duty. Many importers never use them and pay sooner than they need to.

  • Postponed VAT AccountingNo import VAT paid at the border
  • Duty defermentPay monthly, not per shipment
  • Simplifications and guaranteesLower or waived guarantees, simpler declarations
How it works

Start free. Pay only from what we recover.

You don't need to be a customs expert, and you don't need to change broker.

01

Free review

Send us your customs data, which you can download free from HMRC, or we'll show you how. We check up to three years of imports and show you what we find.

02

Recover

We prepare and submit the claims and deal with HMRC. You pay a share of what comes back. Nothing comes back, you pay nothing.

03

Stay audit-ready

We fix the causes so you stop overpaying, set up more time to pay HMRC, and Import Hub keeps your data structured and audit-ready.

FAQs

Questions importers ask.

Your first review is free. Recovery work is no win, no fee: we take a share of what HMRC repays, and if nothing comes back, you pay nothing. Ongoing work, such as reducing future duty and keeping your data audit-ready in Import Hub, is quoted once we know what you need. Setting up more time to pay HMRC is included.
To start, your customs declaration data. You can download it free from HMRC's Get Customs Data service, and we'll walk you through it. For import VAT we also look at your PVA statements or C79 certificates. Invoices and supplier documents come later, only where a claim needs them.
Your broker's job is to get goods cleared quickly. Ours is to check what was declared and what it cost you. We work alongside your broker, and you don't need to change how you import.
Overpaid duty can generally be reclaimed for three years (one year for rejected goods). Import VAT can usually be corrected for four years. Time limits depend on the type of claim, so it's worth checking sooner rather than later.
We tell you straight away and explain your options. Correcting an error yourself is usually far better than HMRC finding it in an audit, which can lead to interest and penalties. Where needed, we help you prepare a voluntary disclosure.
No. Every repayment depends on your evidence and on HMRC accepting the claim. That's why the review is free: you see what we find before committing to anything.
Import Hub is the platform we're building to keep your import records, reliefs and evidence in one secure place and check every new shipment. It's in development. Until it launches, our team does the same work for you. Tick early access on the form below to be among the first to use it.
